Where Does the Time Go?

General September 12th, 2007

Lack of blogging huh?  Well between working on getting the engine into my pickup, work, bow hunting, kidney stones and family it’s tough to get 15 minutes to go ahhhhh.  It’s great getting back out to the woods to hunt.  I so enjoy sitting there and absorbing the beautiful world of nature.  I’ve been close to getting one, but no cigar yet.

The pickup is coming along and the engine is back in it.  I just need to get the tranny, transfer case and put the rest of the stuff back onto the engine and she should be a go.  I decided against doing headers, because of funds and timing.  I can’t wait to get it running.  I would love to work on it this weekend, but I will be off to Minot and hopefully be able to spend some time with my son while I am there.   This month is just flying by, wow.

The fall weather has moved in big time.  If some one doesn’t turn the heat on here at work pretty damn soon I will start bringing in firewood to burn.  One should not have to wear a parka while at work.  Who ever did the heating system in this place should of been shot.  It is nice tho to not see all da mosquitoes.  I think they took a major population decrease with the cold.

I got a chuckle out of this a new MMORPG it speaks the truth.  The world is getting to be dependent on computers for every thing it seems like.  I really hate the 911 software that we have here at work.  It’s just a complete pain in the ass all the way around.  It won’t even let you answer the phone at times.  The tech support for our 911 system is, I’ll get to it when I can.  I just do not understand that.  One of your monitors went out last Sunday and without that monitor it makes the station pretty much useless and they still haven’t replaced it.  Rugby is having all sorts of problems too.  They have the same setup as us and they call over to talk about it and discover the problems are all the same.  The bottom line – it’s junk, it’s totally unreliable.  I don’t know who or even why we were not consulted for what we wanted when they decided to go this route.  I’m still trying to figure out why we have two stations in here, can only use one station.  Now does that make any friggin sense.  Common sense should tell a person that with two stations one should be able to operate both station at the same time in case of big emergencies.  I should be able to take a 911 call at any station instead of having to run to the active station.  These are just common sense things that a 7 year old can see.  I just don’t understand it.  Can some one explain this to me?  I have asked people what in the world is up with this junk and all I get is blank looks and the usual I don’t know.  Maybe some one should be finding out?!?!
