Well, we finally got to do some indoor pics.  I was pretty please at how the lighting went.  Thanks to another photographer that gave me a tip on checking the correct exposure in adobe camera raw.  I would of had some under exposed pics if not for that tip.  It seems so easy to under expose than to over expose, at least for me it is.  I had the camera connected to a tv so we could see the shots much better than on the lcd screen on the camera.  This is a fantastic tip also, just not always practical to carry a tv around with you, but those portable dvd players I guess work really well too.  I can’t believe how much money they get for a portable dvd player, sheesh.  I think I will be holding off on that purchase.

I set up the lights with the two ultra white lightning 600s in front at 45 degree angles and than I used my beauty dish I made on a make shift boom that was placed behind her to her right, my left at 45 degrees.  I also used a reflector to fill in.  I feel the beauty dish worked well from behind to give that separation of the subject and background.

I have to give Alien Skin Bokeh credit for this photo.  It’s a great plugin and easy to use for great effects.

I was happy to see the catch light in all the pics :-)

So I think for my first time of doing a studio type shoot for production turned out pretty good.  We captured 15-20 good pics.  Another thing I need to study is posing and I need to start collecting props.  I guess that will be my next goals.  Background also, still trying to think of something for that, inexpensive backgrounds that is.  4×8 sheets of styrofoam are nice, but not practical for storage or durability.  It is nice to work with tho, light weight, no wrinkles, and can be painted, I just hate painting.
